These three track bibs mark the start of my running journey, each one a reminder of a time I chose to keep going. The first is from 8th grade, my first track meet, where I ran the 1500m and placed 7th in the city. I was proud, surprised, and hooked on the feeling of pushing myself. That race made the decision for me: I wanted more. The second bib is from my first high school meet, where I ran the 1500m again and tried the 3000m steeplechase for the first and last time. I didn’t place, but the adrenaline and excitement of competing made me certain I was in the right place.

The third bib is from NOSSA, one of Northern Ontario’s biggest meets for qualifying athletes. Lining up at the start was nerve-wracking, but I gave it my all. Even without placing, I was proud of the progress, miles, and courage it took to get there. Together, these bibs aren’t just numbers; they are milestones of growth, determination, and a love of running that has stayed with me until now.
