Summer memories in Canyonlands, exploring trails, red rocks, and starlit skies with my best friend.
This wooden postcard captures an adventure during the summer before 11th grade, when I traveled to Canyonlands National Park with my best friend Michaela and her family. Michaela is from Colorado, and I was lucky to join her, her mom, and dad for a week of hiking, exploring, and soaking in the incredible desert landscape. We hiked the Mesa Arch Trail at sunrise, watching the sunlight spill across the red rock formations, and navigated the twisting paths of the Upheaval Dome, marveling at its mysterious crater. Every day was filled with laughter, storytelling, and the thrill of discovering hidden canyons and beautiful overlooks. This wooden postcard doesn’t just commemorate a place; it holds the memories of adventure, friendship, and the kind of joy that only comes from exploring the natural world with people you love.
